When I started drawing and painting in 2001 my first efforts were portraits of nieces and nephews. I progressed to other family members (much to their dismay!) and then started getting commisions for children's portraits by various acquaintances.I especially enjoy doing portraits of children with disabilities. It's a real joy to spend time getting to know them and to capture their humour, warmth and awareness on canvas.
